Focus Display Solutions, An Engineering Based LCD Company , Announces Its Partnership With Distributor, Allied Electronics

U.S. based Focus Display Solutions is expanding its distribution channels through Allied Electronics. FDS has offered cost-effective LCD solutions and dependable design service since 2000. They design and supply reliable custom, replacement and standard LCD Displays. In partnership with Allied Electronics, Focus Display Solutions offers: multi-interface color TFT modules, low power LCDs, Touch-panel technology, low-cost/in-stock TFTs and Character and Graphic displays for new project designs.

Focus Display Solutions has been seeking a partnership with a Distributor for some time now and chose Allied Electronics because they share a key strength in maintaining high standards of product quality, availability and customer follow-up.

Allied Electronics is a high service level authorized distributor of industrial automation products, electronic components, and electromechanical products with 43 sales offices serving the United States, Mexico, and Canada. They’re centrally-located 357,000 square foot distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas currently stocks more than 120,000 SKUs and allows the engineer to order prototype samples and have them shipped the same day. Focus Display Solutions focuses on fast prototype builds, engineering support and low cost solutions. The partnering of these two companies not only makes good business sense, it provides engineers with more choices and shorter lead times.

Together, Focus Display Solutions and Allied Electronics intend on making the LCD purchasing process easier and faster. In February, a new LCD Selector tool will be launched on the Allied Electronics homepage, www.alliedelec.com. This tool will allow LCD designers and engineers to select the correct LCD technology for their new design and give them the ability to order samples with one click. It will also allow customers to locate equivalent discontinued LCDs in stock at Allied Electronics.

Look for Focus Display Solutions at DesignCon from January 19-21 at the Santa Clara Convention Center as reported in EE Times. They will be presenting a new design process flow that allows rapid Prototyping of UWVD displays. UWVD modules produce a brighter backlight, increased sharpness, multiple color display characters/icons and a wider viewing angle than older twisted nematic technologies.
