FSTN black, Transmissive, Blue LED Backlight, Wide Temp (-20°- 70° operating/-30°- 80° storage), Bottom View, 5V LED, 5V LCD, RoHS Compliant.
FSTN (Film-compensated Super-twisted Nematic) provides a sharper contrast than STN by adding a film. The cost is approximately 5% higher than STN. FSTN works great for indoor and outdoor applications and is mainly used in graphic displays and higher end products.
The Transmissive polarizer is best used for displays that run with the backlight on all the time. This polarizer provides the brightest backlight possible. When you have a need for a bright backlight with lower power drain, transmissive is a good choice.
